SW series gearboxes, also known as quarter-turn gearboxes, are mostly used for butterfly valves. The gear mechanism in this type of gearboxes is worm. Quarter-turn gearboxes are produced in two models with flange and foot mounting. In the foot mounting mode, the user is enabled to install the gearbox on multiple valve sizes by changing the gearbox foot (given torque tolerance), and in the flange mode, the gearbox can only be used based on the size of the valve.
